Mark's Brighton Marathon 2024
Mark Bird
My Story
I am running the 2024 Brighton Marathon on April 7th.
I'm running the marathon in memory of my late father, Les Bird, who sadly passed away from prostate cancer just over 8 years ago. He was aged 70.
A staggering 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime and it is the most common cancer in men. Every hour, 1 man dies in England of prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer research partake in transforming research that tranforms lives. It is their goal to develop and deliver breakthrough medicines and treatments to achieve a world where people are free from the impact of postate cancer. See attached website link

Today (03/03), I have completed the London Half Marathon in 1 hour, 54 minutes, 21 seconds (photo in bio!) This is towards training for the main event!
The Brighton Marathon is a full 26.2 mile marathon from city to coast past the iconic sites of Brighton and Hove.
I would appreciate and be extremely grateful for any donations. Birdy x
