My Story

This will be the second time I've run the Brighton Marathon. Six years since I last competed, so enough time to forget the pain at the end! :-) This year, I am raising money for MRKH Connect. I've borrowed some info from their website (MRKH Connect – Lifelong Connections Start Here) to give you some more info.

The aim of MRKH Connect is to connect those with Mayer Rokitansky Küster Hauser (MRKH) syndrome together, wherever they are in the world, to ensure no one with MRKH feels alone whilst also providing support to them and their families and promoting awareness to medical professionals and the public.

MRKH (Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser) Syndrome is a congenital condition (present at birth) that affects around 1 in 5000 female births, which is a disorder of reproductive development leading to the absence of the uterus, cervix, and the shortening of the vagina.

Where does your money go?

As a small charity MRKH Connect rely on donations to be able to continue to provide support, raise awareness and give back to the community always with the main focus to connect people together and ensure no one feels alone.

As a Dad, I know the importance of the charity's work. I appreciate times are tough, but if you've got a few quid to spare, I'd be very grateful for your support.

Thank you x
